SVG Motors Accelerates Growth With Addition of Commercial and Fleet Sales

Steve VanGorder, owner of SVG Motors Auto Group, announced that commercial and fleet sales are now being offered to Dayton-area businesses, organizations, and municipalities.

The SVG Motors Auto Group has experienced an historic rate of growth in its short 4-year history. Steve VanGorder opened his first dealership in Vandalia, Ohio in 2014. Within the past four years, he has grown his Auto Group to include a Chevy Buick GMC dealership in Urbana, a Chevy dealership in Greenville, a Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership in Eaton, a used car superstore in Dayton, and a soon-to-open used car superstore in Beavercreek.

The SVG Motors Auto Group is committed to helping businesses maximize their effectiveness through the use of commercial or fleet vehicles. Steve VanGorder conducted exhaustive interviews to find the right person with the experience and skills to help businesses manage fleet and commercial relationships. He chose Brian Perkins to be the new Commercial and Fleet Manager. Brian brings over 15 years of experience to SVG, including many years in business development and sales management.

The addition of commercial and fleet sales means organizations can expect to receive one-stop service for purchasing, maintaining and servicing their vehicle fleet at SVG Chevrolet in Greenville, SVG Chevy GMC Buick in Urbana, or SVG Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Eaton. Many businesses may not be aware that they already qualify for fleet incentives. While each manufacturer has different criteria for fleet discounts, most business owners are surprised to learn how easy it is to qualify for the discounts.

There are many reasons businesses may consider branching into fleet ownership. Some businesses are even finding that providing company vehicles to employees is far more cost effective than paying employees a mileage stipend. Most leases carry excellent tax advantages such as being able to write off the entire payment (consult your tax professional to determine if your business or organization qualifies).

Many business owners might be feeling the need for commercial or fleet vehicles, but aren’t sure if their business is ready. There are some questions that can help a business owner determine the need for a fleet or commercial vehicle. To determine if a fleet or commercial vehicle might benefit your business, ask:

-       Do I regularly use my personal vehicle to complete jobs, entertain clients, or run errands?

-       Am I spending thousands of dollars a year paying mileage stipends to employees?

-       Have I rented any vehicles for business purposes in the past 6 months to a year?

-       Is my warehouse space so limited I can’t properly store the tools my employees need?

-       Am I losing out on work due to not having the proper tools?

-       Do I look less professional than my competitors when employees show up on a job site in their personal vehicles?

If any of the above questions can be answered with “yes,” it’s time to consider a commercial vehicle or fleet of vehicles.

The SVG Motors Auto Group will soon be hosting a free “Lunch and Learn” event in Dayton. This session will teach business owners and managers how they can benefit from commercial/fleet ownership. Topics covered will be “Owning or Leasing: Which is Right for You?”; “Using your fleet for affordable CPI advertising”; and more. For more information on this session or to meet with SVG’s Commercial and Fleet Manager, Brian Perkins, please call 937-694-9901.
